We Do For

Public Awareness

GVS is working with the tribal community and other backward classes in the area where health condition is very poor. We are helping in connecting people of remote rural areas to the government’s health-related services and schemes.
Meeting and capacity building workshops were conducted on health, livelihood and government schemes in sixty different villages and about 2000 people participated in it. These programs were held on choupals, during festivals where the villagers gathered on large numbers.
We are always eager and active in generating awareness and providing information and knowledge to the villagers about the various government schemes so that they can get benefit from it.

Work done for local self-government

Micro level planning in thirteen villages of village Panchayat Chaurai and Kalumar, the most remote tribal majority of development block Jabera. In this, the work of planning the development of the village has been done through educational tour, chapati drawing, time table, etc. After analyzing the problems emanating from here, the microplan of the village and the village panchayat was prepared through gram sabhas.

The social evils in the village include superstition, hierarchy, untouchability, purdah system, child marriage, women doing more labor, men doing less labor, less attachment in connecting children to education, etc. have been identified. People have believed that these problems have been created by the society, which have become a hindrance in the development of the society, we have to remove them only then we can move forward.

The priorities of micro-planning have been decided by Gram Sabhas after analyzing social issues and material issues.

Promotion of Institutional Delivery

In order to encourage institutional delivery in the specified area of 27 villages, the community health center Tendukheda has done the work of sending people to the community health center by counseling them for safe delivery, for this work regular meetings with ASHA workers have been done. Work has been done to inspire them. Due to which 90 percent births of children have been registered this year and both mother and child have got more security.

Awareness for Birth Certificate

Birth certificate is the main document for identification of a person by law, but due to lack of information in rural areas, people do not get this document at the time of birth of children or after. The organization has done public relations from house to house and by holding meetings with the community has explained the importance of this document, which has made birth certificates of the children born in their home in 90 percent of the families, 168 children have been given by the organization. Assisted in getting birth certificate and the children born before one year have got the birth certificate from the sub-registrar of Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Secretary and people have saved the identity documents of their children.

Complete Vaccination

To protect the lives of children, vaccination program is being run by the government under National Rural Health Mission, under this program all children can be saved for life from serious diseases like measles, polio etc., but due to lack of information. Because pregnant women, lactating mothers and children are deprived of vaccination, that is why the organization has made people aware by doing intensive public relations for awareness in the community to get the full benefits of vaccination to women and children and with the cooperation of health workers, prescribed vaccinations. Contributed in the achievement of the goal. In the villages of the work area, 85% target has been achieved. The rest of the families are left out due to migration.

Village Health and Nutrition Day

In order to make the Village Health and Nutrition Day program successful in 32 villages, work has been done to create awareness about the health facilities provided in it by giving it in regular meetings with the community. Health check-up of adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers and children were conducted and medicines available from the government were distributed to the people in association with health workers. Arrangements have been made in the prescribed places of sub-health centers and THC as per the rules of the government, due to which more facilities are being made available to the needy people who get tested in these centers.

Village Health Scheme

Village health plan was prepared with village health committees and women leaders in 5 villages namely Bagdari, Dukarsata, Khamkheda, Beldhana, Panji. The objective of this scheme is to save the members of the village from disease. In this, a plan was prepared keeping in mind the pre-precautions and methods of diseases to prevent malaria, pure drinking water, vomiting-diarrhoea, fever etc. in the village. Along with this, proper management of government funds coming to the health societies was also included in the action plan. The Village Health Committee of the above villages became active and started working on the issue of health and cleanliness in their village.

Nutrition Management Efforts


Community Meetings

It has been seen in the area that the number of malnourished children is high, many children are underweight, children have frequent diseases like cold, cold, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, mothers also suffer from problems like anemia, anemia. Been battling. Due to these reasons, there is a bad effect on the body of women and children.

Intensive work has been done to look after the health and nutrition of 1157 children in the age group of 0 to 6 years, out of which 583 are boys and 574 are girls. An attempt has been made to understand the health and nutritional status of children on the basis of growth charts by weighing six hundred children regularly. 274 children have been seen in the category of malnutrition in some way or the other, that is why the organization has worked to increase the attendance of children in Anganwadi centers. Has done awareness work to the community regarding the services provided in Anganwadi centres, after identifying malnourished children and counseling them to get health services, 55 children were admitted to six centers and sent to doctors for treatment, 10 In the village, 118 children were adopted by women to look after health and nutrition. Publicity was spread to provide benefit of Ladli Laxmi Yojana to the girl child and 17 girls' names were included in this scheme.

Workshop on Atal Bal Arogya and Nutrition Mission

Atal Bal Arogya and Poshan Mission has been started by Madhya Pradesh Women and Child Development Department from 1st April 2012 to save children from malnutrition. But in view of the field conditions, one day workshop was organized for Anganwadi workers on 20th September 2012 in association with Women and Child Development Department. A total of 40 workers participated in this workshop. The role of resource person in the workshop was played by Neelam Kashyap and Akanksha, supervisor of Integrated Child Development Scheme. Mainly in this workshop what is Atal Bal Arogya Mission and why, how to monitor malnourished children, weighing and filling growth chart, checking the status of the child in the growth chart, is there any malnourished or not. Extra diet, third meal for malnourished children, in which situations the child should get NRC Information was given on the points to be referred etc. Also, the doubts of the workers were also resolved.

Promotion of Kitchen Garden

Lack of proper diet is also one of the reasons for malnutrition. Especially those families whose livelihood is dependent on wages, due to their low income are unable to buy expensive pulses/vegetables from the market. For this reason, children get to eat only Roti and Chutney or rice in the house for many days. Keeping these things in mind, the organization identified such families and motivated them to plant vegetable seeds around their houses.

On 30th November 2012, training was organized in respect of Kitchen Garden in village Samdai. A total of 45 persons from 20 villages participated in this training. Also, understood the importance and nuances of the kitchen garden. Shri Sanjay Nikunj of Agriculture Department played the role of source person. Apart from this, work was also done by the workers of the organization in community meetings and door-to-door contact to increase the information related to the effect of kitchen garden, as a result of which it was seen that 360 families planted seasonal vegetables like Gilki, Gourd, and Tomato. Brinjal, beans, fenugreek, spinach, etc. were grown and the children of his family received vegetables in the food.
