Mr. Govind Yadav (Founder)

Mr. Govind Yadav is a founder of Gramin Vikas Samiti (GVS). He is veteran social worker with 28 years of experience in the field. He has working experience in different states of India. He is dedicated to work for Tribal, Dalit, and Backward communities, the cause of livelihood improvement, strengthening of panchayati raj, education, health & nutrition, child rights, child protection, and environment. He has introduced the modern techniques of SRI, SWI, etc. in order to improve the agricultural yield of the farmers and bought about an improvement in their lives. He also works for bringing a positive change in the situation of child healthcare and the providing nutrition to them. Child health Various programs to make women self-reliant and independent have been initiated by him. He is also the state convener of Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabhagi Sajha Munch (MPLSSM). MPLSSM is working for the sustainable development of children.

Dr. Meera Madhuri

She holds a doctorate in Botany and she is passionate about working for rural development causes. Women empowerment, fighting gender inequality and increasing female literacy are some of the causes she strongly believes in and is currently working for. She also works for the upliftment of youth by their motivation, skill development, employement and she also motivate them to do social work such as donation of labor and she strongly believes in the protection of the nature and Vegetations. She is helping and providing the better understanding about the importance of vegetation with the help of Gramin Vikas Samiti (GVS).

Mrs. Jwala

She holds a masters degree in Social Science from Dr. Harisingh Gour University Sagar. She is passionate about working for the social justice for the women, and their social and financial development. She is also working for formation of self help group and motivates them for their growth and she is working for this cause. She strongly believes in development of the public health equity.

Dr. Basant Yadav

Dr. Basant Yadav is the Co-Director of Gramin Vikas Samiti (GVS) since November 2019 on voluntarily basis. He is passionate about developing the sustainable livelihood for the rural population. Dr Yadav is an agricultural engineer and have completed a two year Master degree at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) in Hydrology. During his Master’s, he was awarded a prestigious DAAD fellowship to work at the Technical University Stuttgart, Germany. This was followed by a PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) studying water resources engineering. Basant was awarded a prestigious National Postdoctoral Fellowship (NPDF) by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India in 2017. Basant’s research emphasizes better and efficient management of the water quantity and quality. He has done extensive work on rainwater harvesting and managed aquifer recharge. Dr Basant Yadav, currently associated with Cranfield Water Science Institute, Cranfield University, UK.

Dr. Niranjan Panigrahi

Dr. Niranjan Panigrahi working as an adviser (volunteer) for Gramin Vikas Samiti (GVS) and also associated with Cranfield Water Science Institute, Cranfield University, UK. He received the B.S. and M.S. in Botany from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha and M.Tech in Agricultural systems and management from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IITKGP). This was followed by a PhD from Agricultural and Food Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IITKGP). His research area includes agricultural water management for different crops in various climatic conditions. Dr Panigrahi along with GVS assisting the farmers to adopt farm-mechanized and organic techniques of farming to improve their livelihood.
